New Cohort of Colleges Selected to Join Guided Pathways Initiative to Improve College Completion

Guided Pathways is an approach that simplifies the number of course selection choices a student must make and directs entering students into an intentional, comprehensive program of study within one or two terms.  The process from college entrance to program selection to degree completion is streamlined, providing students with a clearer, more efficient path to completion.

Five additional colleges were selected to receive implementation grants from College Spark totaling $2.5 million over five years:

  • Clover Park Technical College
  • Lower Columbia College
  • Renton Technical College
  • Spokane Falls Community College
  • Tacoma Community College

These colleges join College Spark’s initial commitment to Guided Pathways at Everett Community College, Peninsula College, Pierce College, South Puget Sound Community College, and South Seattle College.

For more information, read the press release, this Longview Daily News article featuring Lower Columbia College, or this Seattle Times article featuring Renton Technical College.
