Are you doing new or interesting things that affect learners in online, hybrid/blended, or web-enhanced courses? Are your friends and colleagues wowed and amazed at your innovation? If so, you, YES YOU, are an eLearning leader or innovator.

Do you know of someone who is doing great things and probably wouldn’t apply for themselves? If so, please nominate them!

The winner will be announced at the 2019 Washington Canvas Conference (WACC).

Applications are Due by December 10, 2018

We invite you to submit a proposal to present at Washington’s Annual Canvas Conference (WACC)

March 28th – 29th at Tacoma Community College

Come share your amazing innovations in Canvas with faculty, staff, and Information Technology (IT) folks from around the state at our 7th annual Washington State Canvas Conference. WACC is collaborative conference focused on enriching Canvas and technology users across  the 34+ colleges and 6 universities in Washington. Whether it’s cool engagement activities, creative assignment design, innovative use of Canvas tools, or related to information or educational technology, you are invited to submit a proposal for presentation or a hands on workshop.

Proposal submissions will be accepted now until December 1, 2018.

Proposals can be on any topic related to Canvas, IT, educational technology, open educational resources (OER), accessibility, equitable and inclusive teaching practices, student services, student retention, and more!  Visit the conference recordings to view what other folks have shared.

Call for Proposals – 2019 IGNIS Webinar Series

The SBCTC Office of eLearning and Open Education is excited to offer another fabulous season of IGNIS!

Now in its 6th year, IGNIS is an annual webinar series featuring faculty, staff, and administrators from Washington State community and technical colleges who are successfully using instructional technology and/or innovative teaching practices to transform teaching and learning.

‘Ignis’ is the Latin word for ‘ignite’ or ‘spark’ and that’s what this webinar series is all about…igniting your curiosity, sparking your imagination, and sharing the learning.

The 2019 IGNIS season will begin in March, airing on selected Thursdays from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, and will run through early June. We invite you to submit a presentation proposal and/or nominate a presenter for the 2019 IGNIS season.
