Community College Leadership: Ed.D or Ph.D at Oregon State University

The Community College Leadership Program at Oregon State University (OSU) has made a number of recent changes to the program to make it more accessible to working professionals and to Washington State residents.  Specific changes include

  • Reducing travel
  • Increasing proximity to Washington State and Portland airports
  • Changing structure to help students pass their oral examination earlier and proceed with their dissertation earlier

OSU offers a Doctorate in Education with an emphasis in Community College Leadership.  This program is offered in a cohort model format using a combination of an off-campus conference center and hybrid courses that only require students to be in attendance during two intensive weekends each term during fall, winter, and spring quarters.  There is also a one week summer requirement in Corvallis in year one and year two.

Selected Sloan Workshops Available at No Cost to SBCTC Faculty and Staff!

Sloan CAre you interested in deepening both pedagogical and practitioner aspects of your teaching practice by more effectively integrating technology?  To support our faculty as we make the digital transition, the SBCTC eLearning department pays for a large number of seats in selected workshops offered by the SLOAN Consortium.

The workshops are open to all faculty and staff in the SBCTC system: administrators, staff, full-time, and adjunct faculty.

Shift Forward January 2014: E-Learning for Educators
